Ethiopian scholars hail setting up of Sheikh Zayed Islamic Cultural Centre in Addis Ababa

WAM Addis Ababa, Sep 13th, 2009 (WAM)--A number of Muslim clerics in Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, have lauded support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for reconstruction of Al Nour Mosque and turning it into Islamic institution, bearing the name of Sheikh Zayed Islamic Cultural Centre.

Al Sheikh Ahmeduddin Sheikh Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Affairs in Ethiopia, expressed his appreciation about the role of the UAE in humanitarian arena under wise leadership of Sheikh Khalifa. He also lauded the efforts of the Sheikh Zayed Charity and Humanitarian Work Foundation on offering humanitarian assistance to ease burden on the needy.
